Tough Philadelphia date!  Rarely appears on the market on any grade.
Low pop.  Great eye appeal.  Very good details, color and luster. No dark spots, no deep scratches.  Presents itself even much better than how I captured it in photo above!  I cherry-pick my coins.
In my opinion, the price guides are not exactly in touch with market reality, since how can you have some lower graded coins priced lower than spot, and to think there is cost on having the coins slabbed and graded.  Plus there is numismatic and rarity value to these coins.
In addition, coins like this are very tough to find in the market.  As one dealer once said, "Go buy from the book!" :)

A gold coin will beat a gold bullion anytime ~ has rarity, historical and collectible value, that increases over time.  It has more appreciation value.
A graded slabbed gold coin will beat a raw gold coin anytime ~ insures authenticity, preserves its condition, and distinguish from any unknown/poor state of a coin.
