    Description

1910-P Saint Gaudens Gold Double Eagle PCGS MS63 Amazingly Rare Flashy Choice Mint State
Fresh to the market and recently purchased from a local collection and sent to PCGS for Certification. This better date is really tough to find in MS63 condition. Less than 500,000 coins were minted. Only 482,000 were minted, many were melted down and never circulated. To hind high grade Philadelphia Mint coinage is near impossible.
Created by master sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the 1910 Gold Saint Gaudens is the descendant of the Liberty Double Eagle which first entered circulation in 1850. The denomination was created as a means of exhausting an overage in gold supply due to the 1849 California Gold Rush. They were never intended for general use in commerce as the amount easily equated to a month's wage during the time of issue - making them impractical to carry as a coin. Instead, they were struck to monetize the surplus of gold and to be used exclusively in business transactions, largely between banks.
    Coin Highlights:
PCGS encapsulation offers protection and guarantees the beautiful MS-63 condition of the coin. This specimen is nicer than the few gems I’ve seen on the market.
Conservatively graded in our opinion, PQ++
Mintage of 482,000, far less survive today
The Finest Known is MS66+ worth over ,000 today. There are only 13 MS66’s known each worth 5x more than a MS65 and trade over ,000. A MS65 is a pure value play, with plenty of future upside potential. A must buy.
