1926 Saint-Gaudens Gold ANACS MS62 Superb Eye Appeal Strong Strike. Shipped with USPS First Class. It’s my opinion that ANACS is a tougher grading service than PCGS and NGC. I believe that ANACS is doing this because they can’t compete with the the volumes of PCGS and NGC, or with those two’s name recognition. As such, they try to be stricter graders. What I observe is coins that are graded (at least with St Gaudens) one to two grades lower than NGC and PCGS. But you be the judge, compare this coin to other PCGS and NGC holdered coins, of similar grades. And then remember that you are buying the coin (at a discount), and not the holder. One last item, if you haven’t seen the ANACS holders, they too are better than NGC and PCGS, in my opinion, because you can see your coins when they are stacked in boxes, without having to pull them out to see what’s what. The ANACS holders are labeled on top, in addition to being labeled on the front.
Anyway, just my opinion, you be the judge, but I now prefer ANACS coins to PCGS and NGC, I just hope that other collectors begin seeing the difference. Thanks for looking!
