    Description

    Antique Gorham Sterling Silver Cup with Gryphon or Eagle Handle. Cup carries Gorham's distinctive Lion Passant - Anchor - G hallmark, along with a date code for 1892. This cup is unusual, in that it weighs a bit more than 6 ounces, and IT IS UNWEIGHTED, i.e., solid Sterling Silver. You might notice there is a slight lean to the cup. I tried to gently rectify that, but the silver is so solid that it would not budge, and I wasn't interested in forcing it. Cup stands about 3.5" tall, is about 3.125" in diameter at the top, and tips the scale at just over 6 ounces (174 grams).
