Crosley 51 1924 Battery Set & 51A AF Amplifier, Clean, X-Formers Good
Excellent clean example of a classic 1920s battery set for the home. Crosley was talented engineer and marketer with a wide array of affordable products aimed towards the same market Ford intended to buy the Model T car.
Cabinets of both items are very clean and condition of wood are a match. No dents, no scratches, no damaged cabinet corners, no broken or missing terminals. This was a pair never separated from original purchase and subsequent owner. The 51 is the later version of this model.
Transformer coils in both items show continuity with VOM. That alone makes this an excellent find. Circuit components are all original, no visible repairs. Tube are earlier short pin UV-201A. One tube has good filament. Set has not been tested and sold in this all original "as is" condition. If you are considering the purchase of an all original set from this period you cannot go wrong with this pair.
