BLUE BILL:
A 13 foot Combination Kayak - Canoe:
May be used as a canoe, kayak, outboard kayak or a duck boat.
The boat is adapted to sheltered waters.
May be paddled or propelled with outboard motors from 1 to 6hp.
The length is 13 ft. 6 in. with a beam of 3 ft. 2 in.
The boat has a depth of 12 in. the total weight is 75 pounds with a seating capacity of 3 persons.
The construction is wood frame with a canvas covering.
The Blue Bill has a flat bottom.
This boat is easy to build for folks who need an ultra lightweight portable boat - this boat should not be difficult to make.
2. CANVASBACK:
Build this kayak with hand tools and C-clamps.
This kayak will carry one adult and is stable in the water even though it can be turned over, it won’t sink.
It is light enough to be carried with ease. The boat is just under 12 feet long.
This boat cost .81 to build back when it was designed!
3. DOUGOUT CANOE:
Step into the pages of history by making a dugout canoe like the ones Lewis and Clark used.
This plan covers everything from tree selection through complete construction including all tools needed.
A great plan.
4. FOLDING KAYAK:
This kayak weighs less than 40 pounds and will carry a full-sized man. The cost of materials varies between and 0 (1985 prices). The plans can be used to build an 8, 10, 12, or 14-foot model, both one and two man models. Everything in the boat is held together with contact cement (contact cement is waterproof).
You can build one of these kayaks in about 2-15 hours. It is usually not necessary to buy paint; any old exterior paint around the home can be used as a rule.

This Canoe is 15 ft and constructed out of plywood.
It is a dual-purpose canoe, which may be built as a double-ender paddling canoe or with a square stern as an outboard model.
It is adapted to carrying on top of a car and can be used with standard size outboard motors up to 4hp.
The boat has a beam of 36 inches overall and is between 12 in to 25 in. deep.
The complete boat weighs only 75 pounds.
It will seat two.
7.GYPSY CANOE:
You don’t have to steam bend any ribs to build this sturdy, light-weight canoe!
Construction is modern and simplified, using plywood forms.
Plans and instructions are clear and easy to follow. 15 feet long.
The most appealing boat.
You can hunt, fish, or just have fun in this canoe.
Edge nailed strip construction is used with plywood bulkhead moulds.
Easy to follow.
8. HUNTING KAYAK:
This kayak has a shallow draft allowing you to get back into waterways away from noisy motorboats.
It will seat two people.
Two place, flat bottom kayak for hunting, fishing and general sports use on protected waters of small lake or river.
The length is 18 feet long with a 40-inch beam.
The boat has 11inch sides.
This boat weighs in at 100 pounds and has its exterior constructed out of plywood over wooden framework.
9. CANVASBACK KAYAK:
This is a beautiful little kayak that weighs only 65 pounds, is easy to build and back in the day cost around to build.
15 feet long and 31 inches in the beam this Kayak is ideal father and sun project.
Easily handled by one man.
Can be car topped on a small car.
Simple hand tools are all that is needed.
10. LITTLE CHIEF:
This is a canoe with many virtues, ideally adapted to quick, easy construction.
The boat is made of ordinary materials for a fraction of the cost of conventional canoes.
It may be built either as a paddling model or for use with small outboard motors.
This canoe is 15 feet long.
Easy to build.

This is a Kayak plan for those CAD geeks to figure out.
14. Nor'wester Alaskan type kayak:
Anyone handy with ordinary carpenter tools should be able to build this light and sturdy Alaskan Eskimo-type kayak.
The craft is 15 foot 6 inches long with a 21 inch beam.
It's inexpensive to build.
Light in weight and easy to handle and real tough!
The plans go step by step through the complete construction.
The plans are super detail huge 400dpi PDF files (3 to 4 meg per page) that can be printed out crisp and clear, no other plans give you a clearer print.

A lightweight duck boat that is for carrying atop an automobile.
It is adapted to paddling on protected waterways.
Now this boat also makes an excellent small boat for children’s use.
It is 10 feet long with a 40-inch wide beam.
The total weight is only 75 pounds.
The capacity is one large adult or 2 children.
The construction is a plywood exterior over a stressed framework.
The bottom can be applied in one piece.
This is a quick build- it can be built in 1 week.

Payak Kayak:
This is a great father and son or you and your wife project.
Easy room for two seats so you won’t be looking for extra space – super for long day or overnight trips.
Easy to control by one man.
Designed for the homebuilder so regular plywood and framing is all you need here.
17. PLYAK KAYAK:
A great little Kayak for exploring rivers and lakes, this nimble, lightweight craft is easily built from readily-available plywood.
The kayak is a little over 11 feet in length and has a 30-inch beam.
The weight is about 40 pounds!
The Plyak is an excellent one-man boat with possibly one child as crew.

POD:
This beautiful 15 feet rowing dory eases through the water, lets a fisherman sneak up on those big ones.
For the person who likes a bit of exercise and appreciates the simplicity and silence of a well-designed rowboat.
The narrow bottom is tapered at both ends which enable her to slice through the water with a minimum of effort and flaring sides make her safe and dry in a chop.
Three pieces of plywood make up the sides and bottom and no frames are required.
This design makes boat building about as simple as it ever gets.
For those who feel better with conventional framing, optional frames are included in the drawings.
Great first boat to build.

Redwood Canoe:
A beauty you can build.
This is a beautiful canoe that weighs 74 pounds, 16 foot long and was first built for about .
You use redwood strips and old boat-building technique.

Wackie Lassie Canoe:
This boat is designed to be quickly built by kids using “tack & Tape” construction methods.
Kids love these boats.
About 11.5 feet over all length. Great project for first time builders and kids.
21. LUE BILLYOKE PLANS:
A great plan to make a hardwood yoke to carry your canoe or kayak.
22. PONTOON KAYAK BOAT:
This is a super plywood boat project where you make your own pontoon boat.
He is 12 feet long, a beam of 72 inches and a height of about 20 inches.
Depending on how you finish out this boat is may way as little as 130 pounds or more than 200 pounds.
This boat will carry about 800 to 1000 pounds.
This is a simple stitch and glue construction. Great for cruising, as a swim platform or fishing.
Holds a bunch of kids or about 3 normal adults comfortably.
You can install seats and have a great fun boat for the family.
A 13 page plan covers everything you will need to have a great boat project and yes it is real easy, super first time boat.
23. A GREAT KAYAK:
She is 17’-6” in length and has a beam of 24”, with clipper stems, a v-bottom with 2” or rocker and a flat chine.
Constructed from plywood this is a great boat.
This kayak is described as stable and easy tracking.
24. A SUPER CANOE:
This is a 25 page plan that is 12mb in size, great detail.
This is a plywood – epoxy canoe (that is the same as stitch and glue) made from two sheets of 14” plywood.
The Canoe is 13’-5” in length and has a 30” beam.
The plywood panels are cut flat on the floor from dimensions found in plan.
The shape is easy to transfer to the plywood so no lofting here. This is a great detail project and at a great low price.
Paddle plan is also included in this plan.
Great first canoe and you just cant build a lower priced canoe that you can have a great time in.
25. QUICK CANOE:
This is a plan for a 18 foot long canoe with a 35 inch beam.
A real nice simple canoe design, which builds quickly ad at a minimal cost.
The finished weight will be about 80 pounds using inexpensive plywood.
If you want to go all out you can get the weight down into the 60 pound range when constructed from Okoume.
She will draft about 2 inches with about a 300 pound load.
This is another large 5 mb in size plan with great detail.
All that will be needed here is plywood.
You won’t find a simpler boat for the home builder. Get moving summer is on the way.
