I picked this up recently from a local estate auction.  I believe he was in the process of restoring it or did restore it, as the inside looks really clean and the hinge is shiny.  I cannot test it since I do not have any of the batteries.  There were a few wire drawings and an old switch inside as well.  I will send those along if you're the lucky buyer.  The top of the lid is scratched up and has some "gunk" on it.  The rest of it looks pretty good and I think would look amazing with some nice wood oil.
