Vintage East End Yacht Club Norwalk CT License Plate Topper w/ Bracket Original

Unique vintage license plate topper badge from East End Yacht Club in Norwalk, Connecticut, still going strong after all many years on the Long Island Sound. It's made of aluminum or similar light metal. As you can see, it is oxidized, somewhat pitted and much of the original paint has worn off -- but the stamping is still very clear and it has a nice vintage salty look. It could easily be freshened up with a new paint job if you want to go that route. I don't know the age but likely 1970s or older. The bracket is made of some kind of composite product -- possibly small-batch hand made. I wouldn't be surprised if the original attaching screw and bolt are frozen closed. It measures appx 4” x 8 7/8' tall including the bracket.
