    Very unusual and old. I was unable to get any history on it from the estate I purchased it from. On my invoice under description it was or is advertised as a "Mignon Supertone Audio Transformer Ham Radio??25"x8"x8"
    I also see a piece inside marked NATIONAL CO. And, some other pieces that's hard to make out the name, numbers. Photos taken of the inside so hopefully someone can tell more about it. It would be great for parts or for someone to restore if someone has the knowledge of doing so. It also looks like a knob might be missing on the front. Please refer to photo/s of this as well. Pictures taken of all sides/angles including top, bottom, inside and close-ups. The insulation around the wires has worn off. Maybe happened from being in storage ? but the insulation around the wires has worn, is off. Across it measures approximately 25 1/4 inches, measuring the top outer dimensions. With the top closed, to the bottom, approximately 8 inches tall. And front to back, approximately 8 1/2 inches. The scale shows it weighing about 16 1/2 pounds. Different shipping options available.
