Wood Kayak Chesapeake 18 foot Kayak Single, Brand NEW!. This was built from a kit from Chesapeake Light Craft, specific intended use was to race in the MR340 but was not used. It has been tested in water twice and performs amazingly. It tracks extremely straight, even with out the rudder. Smart Track rudder control system with pedals installed and helps in turning. This design is a sea/racing kayak built to the closest specifications of the design. It was constructed out of Okoume 3 mm Marine plywood covered in 6 oz fiberglass cloth and West System epoxy. Build includes mahogany breast hook and epoxy end pours for super strong ends. Also has two hatches with lots of storage room. This boat is FAST. With GPS to measure, got her up to 8 MPH over ground on a windy choppy lake, no current. It Does Not have a seat as this is a highly personal decision and should be custom fit to the personal comfort of the new owner. Shipping could be worked out but not included in the price. I could deliver within 250 miles of Kansas City area for a mileage charge.
