About Me, The Artist ~ Ronne Postell ~
I am a traditional, self-taught artist living deep in the heart of Appalachia surrounded by lustrous green mountains and deep valleys where the rivers flow into the realm of the unseen where the mystical and magical foothills still teem with Cherokee Native American folklore of moon-eyed people and legendary tall tales of giants, witches, bizarre creatures and perhaps what some would call monsters. Appalachian heritage is rich in culture and it provides a constant inspiration for ALL of my artwork. My artwork largely focuses on the lighter and more whimsical side of my imagination--the cartoon-ish; however, I do also enjoy painting fantasy realism, and nature and wildlife scenes on occasion. I prefer painting with acrylics on stretched canvas and wood panels, but also enjoy illustrating with Prismacolor colored pencils, Copic markers, and watercolor.
I really appreciate the interest in my art and thank you for taking the time to view this listing!
